Schlafly Farmers Market
at the Bottleworks,  7260 Southwest Ave
in Maplewood, MO
Wednesday, September 6, 4:00pm-7:00pm

What a stunning time of year. During this time of the season we are getting the best of late summer and early fall. We can still see the brilliant colors of the tomatoes, peppers and eggplant as well as the fall squash, apples and greens. This weekend my husband and I pressure canned and preserved our Market Veggie Soup. We do this every season, about this time when ALL of the vegetables are available. Farm fresh, local, seasonal  potatoes, onions, garlic, tomatoes, green beans, corn and okra usually make it into this soup. During the late fall and winter months opening a quart jar of this soup and enjoying it for a lunch or supper is a real treat.

I believe we will still have melons today. There will also be a variety of  tomatoes, peppers, eggplant,  squash, greens, purple beans, carrots, figs, fresh cut flowers, sprouts,  pastured meats, eggs, cheese, sweet and savory pastries, salsa, pickles, fresh tamales, raw honey and a great variety of apples as well as cider.

Today we have a great group of market vendors. Please come out and support the market, enjoy the beautiful weather, live music and complementary Schlafly beer samples.
