This is a pretty basic salsa verde recipe from SimplyRecipes.com, but when you’re working with fresh ingredients that’s the best way to do it. I got the tomatillos and onion from Riverbend Roots Farm, jalapenos from Buila Family Farm and cilantro from EarthDance Farms (I had to visit them at Tower Grove Farmers Market to get source that locally).
First step was roasting the tomatillos in a cast-iron skillet. Next step was to put all the ingredients into a blender and puree. Done! So easy, so delicious.
