Strawberries….more strawberries! EVEN MORE! More beautiful greens, pretty radishes, tasty spinach, eggs, meats, cheeses, honey, artisan bread, sprouts, mushrooms, plants, seeds and more.
I could repeat many of the things I have written over the past few weeks. They still remain on point. The comments about the rain and the weather. The words written about the relationships created at the market and the commitment our vendors have in producing quality, seasonal, local food. I could repeat the importance of supporting the market and share my passion for this work I do. But for this week, I will just say Thank You! Thank you to all of the vendors. There would be no market without them. Thank you to the continued support of the customers and the community. The vendors would not be here if you weren’t supporting them. Thank you to Schlafly and their support, commitment and belief in the sustainable, local, food movement.
The market continues to grow and flourish and I continue to look forward to a wonderful season.
We will continue to host the University of Missouri Extension Nutrition department. They will be visiting with us throughout the market season sharing information about local, seasonal, food, healthy and nutritious food options, recipes and more. Visit the site Family Nutrition Education Program
Join us at the Market, 4pm-7pm. Enjoy live music, complimentary Schlafly beer samples and a great line-up of vendors.
We will try to keep you updated and posted on who will be at the market from week to week. Please stop by each Wednesday, rain or shine, be surprised, enjoy the variety of what’s in season at any given time, create relationships with the folks that grow your food.
